Visitors to Lowestoft can now enjoy free sports and leisure equipment thanks to the new BoxUp locker scheme.
Delivered by the Lowestoft and Northern Parishes Community Partnership, the solar-powered lockers can be unlocked using the free BoxUp app. Just choose an activity, collect the equipment, and return it when you’re done.
📍 Where to find them:
- Normanston Park – football, basketball, rugby, table tennis, tennis, croquet, skateboarding and more.
- South Beach (next to Sandy Toes café) – kites, pétanque, KanJam (flying disc game), beach tennis and more.
The project aims to make sport accessible to everyone, encouraging people of all ages to stay active and try something new.
The scheme is being trialled for one year, with the possibility of more lockers being installed if successful.
