After 13 years away, the Lowestoft Carnival made a long-awaited return — and what a comeback it was! The response from the community was overwhelming, showing just how much this event has been missed.

With over 40 participants, the parade was a feast for the senses. From dazzling floats and colourful costumes to people dancing, drumming, and playing instruments, the atmosphere was full of energy and joy. One participant even said she felt emotional seeing the incredible crowd who came out to support the event.

The celebrations didn’t stop there. Royal Green was buzzing with activity throughout the day, offering plenty for everyone to enjoy. To top it all off, the carnival ended on a high note with not one, but three spectacular aircraft displays that had the crowds looking to the skies in awe.

And the good news? The buzz is already spreading — the carnival is rumoured to be returning in 2027, promising to be even bigger and better, with plans for an expanded finale of thrilling aircraft displays.
