Visitors to Lowestoft can now enjoy free sports and leisure equipment thanks to the new BoxUp locker scheme.

Delivered by the Lowestoft and Northern Parishes Community Partnership, the solar-powered lockers can be unlocked using the free BoxUp app. Just choose an activity, collect the equipment, and return it when you’re done.

• Nicholas Everitt Park, Oulton Broad – Football, Frisbees, Table Tennis, Tennis Rackets and more.
• South Beach (next to Sandy Toes café) – Kites, Pétanque, KanJam (flying disc game), Beach Tennis and more.

The project aims to make sport accessible to everyone, encouraging people of all ages to stay active and try something new.

What started out as just a one year trial has been such a huge success that the project is now confirmed for another three years! Even better, there are plans to roll it out to more sites across Lowestoft so even more people can benefit.
